U.S. Cellular has started expanding its retail presence, today announcing that it will bring its postpaid plans to 460+ Walmart locations within its footprint. The move will help the carrier get more exposure and potentially reach more new consumers. This expansion comes shortly after the launch of its U Prepaid, no-contract service, across more than 400 Walmart stores.
These Walmart stores will essentially act like little U.S. Cellular stores, offering the same postpaid plans and unique benefits (no contract after the first, points-based rewards). All participating Walmart stores will carry popular handsets such as the Samsung Galaxy S III, Huawei Ascend II, Samsung Chrono 2 and Samsung Freeform 4.
